The FLTA is calling on the best and brightest to put their products and services forward so they can be considered for the fork lift truck industry’s highest accolade: an Archie. Modelled on Archimedes, the much coveted statuettes are presented at the FLTA’s Annual Awards for Excellence… and one of them could be yours.

“We are on the lookout for those new and exciting innovations that will make our industry that bit safer, that more environmentally sound or more driver-friendly,” explains FLTA chief executive Peter Harvey.

“Just a handful of these are presented each year to those who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to make our industry a better place… and they deserve to be recognised publicly by their peers.

“That’s why we’re calling upon those work within the fork lift truck sector to signpost us to individuals and companies who are tirelessly driving standards ever higher.

“But please don’t be shy. Many of our finalists who go on to be winners put themselves forward for an award. And we strongly encourage this as it’s mutually beneficial.

“For the FLTA, it ensures that our Pick of the Year shortlist reflects our industry’s great new developments. For those selected, it puts their products and services in the brightest possible spotlight within a crowded marketplace… and over a sustained period of time.

“We want manufacturers, dealers and end users to enter in one or more of the four key product and service categories – Ergonomics, Environment, Safety and Innovation. There are also several other awards to acknowledge companies, teams, colleagues and even the owners and operators of fork lifts.”

Winners will be presented with the famous Archie statuette at a ceremony to be held at The International Centre in Telford on Saturday 4th March 2017.

To be eligible to for the Awards, your new product or service must have been available for purchase in the UK from 1st October 2015 to 30th September 2016, or the product must have been fitted to equipment that is available to purchase in the UK during that time period. Further guidance is available on the FLTA website.

Peter Harvey adds: “Entering is free and takes just a few minutes. It can all be done online via the website. Importantly, there is no limit on the number of entries allowed, so get nominating today. But be quick – you only have until 30th September 2016.”
