Award-winning risk management scheme implemented at UK’s largest independent veterinary clinic operator

Alcumus, one of the market leading providers of business assurance and compliance risk management services, has announced that it will be providing the UK’s largest independent veterinary clinic operator, Medivet, with a full range of award-winning services including Info Exchange and SafeContractor.  The company’s fully integrated systems will help assist the rapidly expanding company to successfully manage and develop its health and safety procedures as it continues to grow.

With around 10 new clinics opening across the country every month, Medivet required a number of specialist services that would support it’s growth plans by creating a streamlined audit process, an easy accident reporting platform and a system that would ensure managing and analysing reports was more accurate and efficient.

The comprehensive list of services Medivet will be utilising include Info Exchange, to assist with the audit and reporting process, SafeContractor, to help provide subcontractor visibility and compliancy across all sites; and, finally, Adviceline, to offer specialist health and safety assistance and support by Alcumus’ in-house team of experts.

Kevin Morris, COO at Medivet, commented: “We are delighted with how far Medivet has come in the last few years, an expansion of this size is certainly something special. For this reason, however, we had to ensure we put a system in place that could handle the added pressures as well as work smoothly with our current processes, which is why we chose Alcumus. Having a fully comprehensive range of services that are all integrated, makes managing the confusing world of health and safety a lot easier and a lot less confusing.”

Alan Neill, senior vice president of software solutions at Alcumus, added: “With Medivet’s rapid growth and future expansion plans it was important for the company to ensure its health and safety systems could successfully manage a growing workforce, property portfolio and clientele. For this reason Alcumus recommended three innovative services to assist Medivet’s in-house health and safety team on developing procedures that will deliver a fully integrated system, therefore, supporting its future growth. One of the main reasons why companies such as Medivet use our services is because each Alcumus system can be fully integrated with another, making health and safety for more digestible.”
