Crown Lift Trucks has been shortlisted in two categories of the prestigious Fork Lift Truck Association awards, known as Archie’s.
In the Ergonomics category, the Crown SC 6000 Range of electric counterbalance fork lift trucks has been shortlisted for its ergonomically superior cabin, designed for greater visibility combined with maximum operator comfort and performance.
Shortlisted in the Innovation category, Crown’s QuickPick® Remote technology stacker trucks provide the operator remote control of lift functions, ensuring ideal work heights, saving steps while minimising stress and strain.
Ergonomics Category
The recently launched Crown SC 6000 is a new range of electric counterbalance fork lift trucks, available in three or four wheel configuration. The SC 6000 incorporates Crown’s proven ergonomics for operator comfort and control. For example, the low step height of 375 mm and generous head clearance make it much easier for the operator to get on or off the truck – a repetitive activity during a typical shift period. Furthermore, the new clear-view cabin provides unobstructed sight lines in all directions, even when fitted with one of the many cab options, ensuring maximum operator acceptance, comfort and productivity during operation.
Innovation Category
Crown’s tried-and tested QuickPick Remote technology was enhanced this year with the launch of a new variant that controls lift and lower functions. Available for fitment to Crown’s ES 4000 and ET 4000 Series stackers, this version of the successful remote glove technology features a special transceiver for the stacker’s lift system. This new lift technology means operators can now raise and lower the truck’s forks without having to use its control handle. Consequently operators have both hands free and no longer have to walk as far, bend as often or lift as much – all of which helps improve productivity by reducing physical strain and operator fatigue.
Launched to encourage and reward examples of excellence throughout the fork lift truck industry, the Archie awards are now in their 21st year and are widely regarded as one of the most prestigious awards presented in the UK. Winners will be announced at the FLTA’s Awards for Excellence dinner event to be held on 27 February 2016.
