Scottish company EcoEnergy Group has carved out a major foothold as a niche specialist in helping industries across the UK to significantly reduce their carbon footprint after announcing that it has joined forces with Irish energy efficiency services company, Crowley Carbon.
The strategic partnership not only brings together both companies’ next generation energy and cost-effective solutions but underlines the strong alliance and track record that has been established between Scotland and Ireland.
The announcement was made in the presence of Ireland’s Minister for Communications, Energy & Natural Resources, Alex White TD, at a networking event at the Irish Consulate in Edinburgh, hosted by Consul General Pat Bourne, to coincide with the Enterprise Ireland Trade Mission to the Low Carbon Scotland Conference in Scotland’s capital.
Welcoming the announcement Minister White said: “Scotland is at the top of European league table in relation carbon reduction. Cleantech is one of Ireland’s fastest growing sectors and companies in the sector have developed strong capabilities which, through collaboration and partnerships, can help both countries achieve their carbon reduction targets. The announcement that Crowley Carbon has joined forces with Scotland’s EcoEnergy Group is very welcome and demonstrates the real potential that exists for collaboration and partnerships between Irish and Scottish companies in this important sector. I congratulate both companies and wish them every success for continued growth in the region.”
Scotland’s Minister for Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform, Dr Aileen McLeod, said: “The Scottish Government is committed to increasing energy and resource efficiency across all areas of the Scottish economy, reducing our emissions, improving productivity and generating economic wealth and jobs for Scotland.
“We are working very closely with the Irish Government to identify and promote opportunities for collaboration between our two countries in a range of spheres so I am delighted to hear of this new strategic partnership between Scotland’s EcoEnergy Group and Irish company Crowley Carbon.”
Gordon Robertson, managing director of EcoEnergy Group, says the new partnership with Crowley Carbon will enable the company to offer a more effective service to their clients as well as drive their ambitions for growth nationally and internationally.
