Macsa ID UK will highlight advanced coding and marking equipment for the food, pharmaceutical, beverage, personal care and household markets at PPMA Total 2019.

Macsa’s cost effective ICON 2 offers permanent, consistent and durable marking in a clean, usable and sustainable design, making it particularly suitable for first time laser users in the packaging industry. It boasts a metal enclosure, has an efficient and reliable power supply and is available in both 10 and 30W versions. It is supplied with network connectivity as standard.
For major environmental advantages, the low maintenance ICON 2 laser coder offers a clean, energy efficient design. It does not need consumables so there are no messy ink deposits or noxious solvent emissions, and better filters help keep the laser and electronics cool and clean.
Macsa’s ICON 2 is capable of marking on most substrates including labels, cartons, plastics, glass, wood and textiles. It can print both linear and 2D barcodes and static barcoding is available as standard whilst dynamic barcoding is optional.
An external colour touch screen with intuitive interface enables simple navigation, ease of programming and excellent functionality, especially where the ICON 2 is installed in difficult to reach areas.

Also on display will be Macsa’s idTIJ small character thermal inkjet printer. With proprietary marking software and intuitive, user-friendly design, it is Macsa's first thermal inkjet coder aimed at fast, high resolution printing applications in the food, pharmaceutical, personal care and beverage industries.

Utilising Macsa’s powerful marking software, the idTIJ offers accurate and consistent reproduction of barcodes, alphanumeric texts, 2d data matrix codes, dates, logos and graphics on to virtually any porous and non-porous surface, including cardboard, blister packs and PE and HDPE plastics.
Macsa’s idTIJ is compact, reliable and exceptionally simple to use. It incorporates an intuitive 10” colour touch screen which has been specially developed to facilitate easy installation, operation and maintenance, as well as improve overall user experience.
For maximum production efficiencies, the idTIJ is capable of high speed printing up to 150m/min and 600 dpi. It offers high quality and fast drying print with excellent adhesion on a diverse range of materials.
