New Cocoon line engineered with enhanced safety, ergonomic features for women working in rugged environments

Honeywell announced Cocoon, a new range of safety footwear engineered specifically for women. Designed to match a woman’s natural foot shape for a better fit and higher level comfort, the new metal-free range is ideally suited for workers in the logistics, production, manufacturing and facilities management sectors.

“Women often have to opt for safety footwear that has essentially been designed for men,” said Boris Dodin, product manager of footwear for Honeywell Industrial Safety. “The Cocoon range has been created from the sole up with women’s feet in mind. Wearers liked Cocoon’s combination of sport-chic inspired styling, great fit and the very latest safety features.”

The Cocoon range is certified to EN ISO 20345:2011 requirements for general purpose safety footwear, with four of the six styles also S3 HI CI SRC and S1P HI CI SRC approved, offering the highest level of slip resistance available. The cleats on the new PU rubber outsole ensure quick fluid evacuation and strong abrasion resistance. Shocks and vibrations are absorbed through the double density insole and padded ankle collar. Internally, the 3D Poromax lining is not only comfortable but antibacterial and antimicrobial to help keep feet healthy.

Available in sizes 35-42, the range includes products with a number of high quality uppers such as premium leather, microfibre, mesh, microfibre and textile for different environments. All models come with two sets of laces and a user guide offering quick start and on-going maintenance recommendations.
