The Pink Link, part of Europe’s largest and fastest growing express palletised freight network Palletways, has celebrated the official opening of its new premises at Oakes, Huddersfield, with the help of the local club’s football chairman, Dean Hoyle, who marked the event by the cutting of a pink ribbon. Huddersfield Town players Murray Wallace and former Town favourite, Andy Booth also attended.
The Pink Link team was also joined by a number of customers, including Card Factory, National Flexible and Easy Pave at the launch, which included a tour their new site and pink offices.
The family-owned palletised distribution specialist, whose distinctively branded pink trucks are often seen on the roads, says the recent move and expansion not only brings an exciting new chapter for the company, but also provides its customers with a number of key service improvements including later order times due to its closer proximity to motorway links and improved communications through the introduction of enhanced information technologies.
David Allen, founder of The Pink Link in 1991, spoke highly of the business and its employees at the launch: “The business has come a long way since my involvement 23 years ago. This is testament to my son and daughter who completed an MBO ten years ago and since then the company has gone from strength to strength. The new location is fantastic and reflects the continuous drive by the business towards improving service and customer experience.”
David’s daughter, Vicki Davenport, sales and commercial director at The Pink Link, added: “Customer care and providing the personal touch is key to The Pink Link’s success and is something that the business prides itself on delivering at all times through our highly skilled team. Central to our success and continued growth has been our membership of the Palletways network, which has helped open up new business opportunities in both the UK and mainland Europe for the express delivery of palletised freight consignments.”
