igus UK will demonstrate and showcase its latest additions to its industry-leading energy chains and chainflex continuous-flex cables, as well as its maintenance-free range of plain, spherical and linear bearings at this year’s MACH Exhibition – the UK’s premier manufacturing technologies event.

Visitors to the stand (5666 and 5668) will be introduced to chainflex assembled drive cables, which come pre-harnessed according to industry requirements, including Allen Bradley, Bosch, Fanuc, Lenze and Siemens. Available as servo cables, signal cables and encoder cables, they have bending radii from 7.5xd and are rigorously tested in e-chains under highly dynamic conditions. The chainflex assembled drive cables are delivered with various approvals and compliances, including UL, CSA, CE, and Desina, and are also available with flame-retardant and oil-resistant jackets.

Suitable for world-wide machine export, the chainflex CF5 unshielded and the CF6 shielded control cables come with 600V rating according to UL as standard. The CF5/CF6 600V UL control cables have an outer PVC jacket that is resistant to oil according to DIN EN, and are bundled in very short pitch lengths around a highly tensile-resistant core rope. The copper stranding has been optimised for highly dynamic use in energy chains.

An innovative compact energy chain system, twisterband is able to turn up to eight times around its own axis. By staying close to the axis, this compact, cost-effective system can guide energy, data and other media safely through 3,000 degrees at high rotating speeds with little wear. Designed for any rotating energy supply applications such as machine tools and robots, twisterband is also well-suited for special machine designs, such as radar and telescope systems, as well as medical equipment and amusement park rides.

Also on show will be the drylin E complete linear drive from igus that brings together drylin linear modules and polymer bearings with a standard NEMA motor. Lubricant and maintenance free the new small, compact, extremely light and quiet drylin E SAW-0630 linear axis is ideal for simple format adjustments, feed movements and the handling of lightweight components. It is, via a trapezoidal or high-helix thread leadscrew, available in numerous pitches from 1.5 mm to 15 mm (design size 1040 up to 50 mm). The compact, light and quiet system is available within a few days, built up using stock components, individually configured to the required length.

Throughout the exhibition, experts from igus UK will be on hand to provide advice and guidance on selecting energy chains, bearings and cabling assemblies for your own specific application.
