As well as the Shuttle vertical lift-based storage solution, Kardex will have the new Megamat RS automated warehouse vertical carousel, on show for the first time in the UK at IMHX (19L114). It boasts a new design, is said to be environmentally and energy conscious, accommodates many safety features and is space efficient.
The Megamat RS has lower material usage than its predecessor with some components realising a weight reduction of 50 per cent. It also has lower power consumption, requiring 40 per cent less energy than the previous model. This has been made possible by use of purpose-made electric motors and frequency converters.
A key element of the Megamat RS is its safety management. New security features ensure the highest possible safety for both employees and warehouse stock. It is also an extremely space-efficient warehousing solution that has only minimal floor space requirements.
