OnRobot’s one system solution wins gold in LEAP Awards

OnRobot, manufacturer of end-of arm tools (EoAT) for collaborative robots, is pleased to announce its One System Solution has been awarded the gold medal in the Industrial Automation category of the LEAP awards. The software was recognised for making robotic applications faster and easier to implement by seamlessly integrating any OnRobot product with a wide range of leading collaborative and light industrial robot brands.

CEO of OnRobot, Enrico Krog Iversen, sees OnRobot winning the prestigious Gold award as recognition from an industry ready to embrace solutions that break down barriers to automation. “With the One System Solution, we have created a single robotic system that speeds up deployment, making it easy, fast and cost-effective for manufacturers to build collaborative applications.”

The unified interface allows the full suite of OnRobot tools to work out-of-the-box with leading collaborative and light industrial robots from Universal Robots, KUKA, FANUC, Doosan, Techman, Yaskawa, Mitsubishi, Kawasaki, Hanwha and Nachi, with more robot brands coming soon. All OnRobot products now have a unified mechanical and communications interface based on the OnRobot Quick Changer, which is now an integrated part of all OnRobot products.

An additional Dual Quick Changer incorporates these same new capabilities while allowing the use of two tools in one cycle, mixing and matching to suit application needs and maximising robot utilisation. In so doing, it increases the potential to free up workers from manual ‘dull, dirty and dangerous tasks’, allowing them to add greater value elsewhere in the process.

The LEAP awards recognise the best components and services across the mechanical and electrical engineering industry and is supported by Design World, Fluid Power World and EE World publications.

OnRobot will be presented with the award at a ceremony in Santa Clara, California, taking place on 9th December, 2019
