UK employees from several small businesses have been acknowledged as exceptional staff in the One4all Spotlight Awards and rewarded.
The One4all Spotlight Awards recognises the best employees across a number of different categories, including Employee of the Year awards specifically for different industries – with retail, health and social care, automotive and not for profit being just some of the sectors recognised.
Kath Pearson, a senior business travel consultant at Click Travel in Tamworth, Staffordshire beat nine other category winners to be crowned the overall Employee of the Year, and also took home the Professional Services Award.
Other winners included staff at the Carphone Warehouse, Welsh Air Ambulance Charitable Trust and Deben Group Industries – all of whom will also receive a trophy and a £100 One4all gift card.
Pearson said: ” I have been a senior business travel consultant with Click Travel for nearly two years now and I feel very proud to have not only been awarded the Professional Services Award but to also win the overall Employee of the Year Award. I can’t believe it! I’m thrilled!
“Working in the business travel industry requires a high level of attention to detail, to ensure that even the most challenging travel requirements from the most complex customers are delivered on time. More recently, I have been most proud of my role assisting with training and sharing my trade knowledge with newcomers – to pass on the knowledge and experience I have to others to help in their careers make me very happy. Winning this award has really given me a boost, knowing many are appreciative and hold my hard work in high regard. I am so grateful for this acknowledgement.”
The judges felt Pearson was an exemplary employee who supports colleagues and customers, going above and beyond to ensure travel requirements are delivered in a timely fashion to make what can be quite a stressful process, much easier.
Pearson will receive a trophy for her win plus £400 in One4all gift cards, which can be spent in more than 50,000 stores nationwide.
