The UK’s only dedicated national sensors, test, measurement & instrumentation event, Sensing Technology 2012 takes place on 25th and 26th September and for 2012 is co-located with six other exhibitions making this the biggest industrial event of the year

For those looking for new products or simply the latest information, with the enhanced Sensing Technology 2012 exhibition everything needed will literally be under one roof – from sensors, test and measurement equipment, and other types of instrumentation; to interesting seminars and knowledgeable professionals. The Sensing Technology exhibition is now in it’s third year, and each has evolved to meet the demands of both exhibitors and visitors.

There are many reasons to attend Sensing Technology, including: to collect information on specific products; to network with knowledgeable professionals; to see the latest developments in the area in which they work; to look at and potentially purchase new equipment; to physically see, touch and even try equipment rather than looking at an image in a brochure or on a website; and to see many different companies – and products – in one place at one time.

Sensing Technology 2012 will also include an Innovation Theatre, in which companies will be launching new innovations to the UK for the first time. Many will not be commercially available yet, but will be looking for business backing and application delivery. Discussions about these can take place at each booth, or the Networking Lounge.

Once again the Seminar Suite will be another major focus of the show, providing the opportunity for visitors to hear from professional organisations about a wide range of focused areas, subjects or even views on certain topics. Following each presentation, the floor will be opened up for questions and discussions. If there’s a particular topic/subject you would be interested in hearing a seminar on, please contact the editor of Instrumentation with your ideas: rmorling@datateam.co.uk.

On top of all these reasons to visit, this year the event is also being co-located with a number of other exhibitions – it will be held in Hall 3 of Birmingham’s NEC with MM, MEMS and NANO, with MEDIPLAS and TCT Live in Hall 3a. The PPMA show will be just a hall away.

Among the companies already booked to attend this year are Techni Measure, Huba Control, Burkert Fluid Systems, Optris, Dewetron, Sensors UK/Flyde,  Micro Hybrid Electronic, Martec, Infratec Infrared and Kemo.
