Mr Simon Goodwin has joined Weidmüller UK as its new Managing Director. He brings to the company a wealth of experience with previous successful management appointments at renowned global companies such as Omron Electronics and B+R Industrial Automation.
Mr Goodwin will have overall responsibility for developing and driving Weidmüller forward, providing strategic leadership and overseeing all the company’s activities in the UK and Ireland. Whilst Weidmüller has enjoyed continued growth in the UK, this new appointment will assist with the further development of the company, bringing the organisation closer to its key sectors.
“I am looking forward to working with each team at Weidmüller to develop business in the fields of industrial automation and solutions, factory automation and device manufacturing. We have some significant new product ranges that we will be launching in 2016. Weidmüller’s return to the ‘Drives and Controls’ show is a statement of our intent to further develop our presence in these markets”, said Mr Goodwin.
